WELCOME TO
Driftwood Beach Lodge
On the fabulous Spice Island, this Zanzibar Beach Lodge in Jambiani is a place where you can truly get away from it all. A beach lodge where the emphasis is firmly on doing as much or as little as you want, in your own way.
You’ll have plenty of choices: follow the example of our resident beach cats and spend the day sunbathing or chilling in the shade, or take time to stroll along Jambiani Beach’s endless curve of white sand.
Not far from the lodge in Jambiani, you can venture into the local village to visit the fishermen and their boats, and experience a way of life that hasn’t changed in centuries, or enjoy the adrenaline rush of kite surfing.
Plunge beneath the waves to check out the marine wildlife, or simply lie back and watch the dhows – and the world – pass you by.
Driftwood Beach Lodge – it’s your time.

The hosts, Kerry, Brady and Senga welcomed me with open arms! Looked after me like family and nothing was too much trouble. The location was exceptional, the rooms were chic and full of character. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was good, well presented. The infinity pool was clean and cool. The is really a little slice of paradise. 🙂

“We loved everything about the driftwood lodge, the owners Kerry and Brady have created an amazing place that will leave us with lifelong memories, can’t wait to visit again!”

“I LOVED the Driftwood Lodge and didn’t want to leave. Everything about it was perfect. Kerry and Brady are the best hosts, the staff are fabulous, the place is so comfortable and beautiful and the location on the beach is perfect. Plus the food was delicious and so reasonably priced. The area is not over-commercialized and is so laid back.”

“I had a wonderful time at Driftwood. When I arrived Kerry was there to greet me with a fresh passion fruit smoothie and she showed me to my room which was lovely. It’s a relatively small lodge so you easily get chatting to other guests and I met some wonderful people. Kerry and Brady were absolutely wonderful hosts – very welcoming, open and hospitable. They are always available if you have any questions and they really try to make your stay memorable. It was like being with very good friends. The food is great too and the staff are very friendly and polite. Staying at Driftwood was wonderful. I hope to go back next year.”

“As soon as you arrive you know you have hit the jackpot. The owners Kerry and Brady are genuinely welcoming making you feel instantly relaxed and at home. We stayed 15 nights and could have stayed forever, The location is stunning being right next to the beach, the infinity pool is great for a cooling dip and the thatched lookout is a perfect place to watch passing dhows or have a passing drowse. Staff are super friendly, helpful and the bar is a great place to meet up with other guests or just find a quiet corner in the grounds and let the world go by. Trips are organised with ease, don’t bother looking elsewhere you wont get a better deal. The restaurant is open all day but should you choose to take a walk along the beach there are many great bars and places to eat. Dont forget to take a walk through the village just behind the lodge, its very safe, welcoming and a nice community who are happy to engage with you. If you like small personal and relaxed hotels this is certainly one of the best and we are already looking at flights for next year.”
