"This was by far the best place we stayed on our trip to Zanzibar (and one of the best we’ve stayed in in a long while!). Ismail, Shona and the rest of the staff made us feel at home the moment we arrived. Food was amazing - the seafood curry was the best curry we’d had in the island and the fish cakes were so good we ordered them almost everyday as a snack. The beach is very clean and less crowded than other areas but there are great restaurants to eat nearby. All in all, would highly recommend and hopefully one day we will return!"

"Loved the hosts, who went out of their way to make us feel like VIPs! They anticipated all our queries and made suggestions of places to go, activities to do and meals to eat. A wonderful setting; so chilled, quiet and cosy. Loved that it's a small place with only 9 rooms and the staff get to know you and your preferences. Appreciate that the location is not overrun by tourists and that it has a real 'island feel'. Will definitely go there again! Thank you Driftwood for making it so memorable! "The property is tucked away in this beautiful dreamy village of jambiani. It overlooks the inviting ocean and soft white sand beach. It offers a sense of calm the moment you set foot and genuine hospitality embraces you. Shona and Ish are the hosts who we called family during our stay and their unpretentious care, concern and conversations drew us in instantaneously. The property is carefully cured to blend with its rustic surroundings. The onsite food was delicious with good portions compared to what we ate while in Nungwi restaurants (before arriving in Jambiani). The staff on site are intrinsically motivated and always have a smile on their faces and eager to please whenever needed. we slept with our doors open and that tells a lot about how safe we felt at all times. We arranged for our activities through the property and benefitted from hassle free, well priced, memorable and safe experience on the sea.
